Saving the Brave

Saving the Brave is a documentary that follows the mental health crisis within America's fire service — and the people fighting back. Presented by Responder Resilience and produced by Lightning Digital Entertainment. Directed by Jason Harney. The film traces the origins of Command Counseling Center through the tragedies that demanded it — the Surfside Collapse, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting, and the suicide of Lt. Alvis Fernandez of Boynton Beach Fire Rescue. These events shaped the founder of CCC and drove her to build something the fire service desperately needed. From there, the film follows the solution — going inside an inpatient treatment facility and telling the stories of firefighters whose lives and careers were saved by the program that finally showed up for them. This is not a film about the problem. It's a film about the way out. ***In Production Now. Follow for updates.***
